1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Craft Civil Contractors website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services

Craft Civil Contractors provides civil contracting services including but not limited to drainage, drain unblocking, earthworks, demolition, concrete work, plumbing, and drainlaying. All services are subject to availability and may vary depending on the specific requirements of each project.

3. Quotes and Pricing

• All quotes provided are free of charge and without obligation.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
• Final pricing may vary from the initial quote if the scope of work changes or unforeseen conditions are encountered during the project.
• Any changes to the scope of work will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.
• All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment terms will be specified in the project agreement or invoice.
• For larger projects, progress payments may be required at agreed milestones.
• Late payments may incur additional charges as specified in the project agreement.
• We accept bank transfer, credit card, and other payment methods as agreed.

5. Project Execution

• We will carry out all work in a professional and workmanlike manner in accordance with New Zealand building codes and standards.
• Estimated completion dates are provided in good faith but may be affected by weather, site conditions, council requirements, or other factors beyond our control.
• We will communicate any expected delays promptly.
• The client is responsible for providing safe and clear access to the work site.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

We stand behind the quality of our work. Specific warranty terms will be outlined in your project agreement. Our workmanship warranty covers defects in our work for a period as specified in the agreement. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, natural disasters, or normal wear and tear.

7. Licensing and Insurance

Craft Civil Contractors holds all necessary licences and certifications required to perform civil contracting work in New Zealand, including PGDB certified drainlayer compliance and Site Safe certification. We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance of $2 million to protect our clients.

8. Health and Safety

We comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and maintain comprehensive health and safety procedures on all work sites. All personnel are trained in safe work practices and hold current Site Safe certifications.

9. Cancellation

Either party may cancel a project with reasonable written notice. If cancellation occurs after work has commenced, the client will be responsible for payment of all work completed to date, plus any materials already purchased for the project.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Craft Civil Contractors' liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will first be addressed through good faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the parties agree to mediation before pursuing any legal action. All disputes shall be governed by New Zealand law and subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
